The invasion was massively destabilizing for the whole region. On yeah and the WMD bullshit, did anyone in government really believe Saddam was trying to build some massive stockpile of WMD's to attack America? The whole suggestion was absurd. It was a transparent excuse to make war with Iraq even though they had nothing to do with 9/11.

Nothing here is surprising to me, but I want to see it reported by someone other than the Daily Mail before I believe it's actually been disclosed publicly.
