It is up to the reader to decide which story to believe. Stories like Aslan's are likely to cause persons who would potentially read the biblical narrative with an open mind to shun it without even looking at it for themselves; literally judging a book by its cover... An act most parents dissuade their children from doing to books as well as people.
Anyway, this is all moot as we are very unlikely to change each other's minds. Let us agree that we are pleased to live in a country which grants us freedom of and from "religion."
BTW, Jesus spoke & taught against religion for religion's sake calling it empty, vain, and detestable.
