Are you not using Blogger for your website? Why?

It's been a while since I shared this post (and flamed the Blogger vs #Wordpress  war), but seemed to be the right time to re-share ;)

Don't write off #Blogger because the cool kids tell you that you need to use Wordpress; it's simply not true. Blogger has a lot of advantages too.

"Blogger has a lot of advantages over Wordpress." I read over these advantages - still waiting for the "a lot" part because everything listed is a Wordpress feature too.

I've never found a single Blogger feature that I thought was implemented well, and I've never seen an attractive Blogger site. Feature checklists don't mean much to me when what's there is done poorly.
I recently switched all my blogs/sites over to Wordpress. What a difference! Sorry, Blogger may have had it's cool, but that was a LONG time ago. When did Blogger itself receive any significant update? The comments feature was stripped in favour of Google+ comments. Hooray.

As a blogging tool, Blogger's days are not lettered, but numbered. There's a plethora of sites out there that rely on it so Google probably won't axe it like Reader or Latitude, but nevertheless, from my POV "it's dead, Jim."
Oh, and: "Reason 6: managed security" - someone tell the author about wordpress.COM hosted sites, please.
Gord Birch who's fighting? "No offence" and this tone? Well, sorry if I gave a realistic evaluation of the situation and it offended you. I've been blogging with Blogger for years (longer than I've been using WP, which I only started last year) and went through countless updates and customisations (which are rather limited without HTML/CSS knowledge, btw.). http://blog.alex-kunz.com is still online as a reference (check the archives, goes back to 2007), I think I can say that I have formed a somewhat educated opinion...
And what a surprise, the folks behind that post happen to sell Blogger customizations.
A major reason for me to use Blogger is that the cool kids tell me not to
