Brian Haslip did you even read the article? The point of the discussion of the Bethlehem prophesy was that Mark specifically contradicts it by putting Jesus in Nazareth and the author notes there is no historical evidence for the nativity story
This was an interesting article despite being in a casual style as noted. I thought the discussion of Tacitus was particularly good, adding some detail I wasn't familiar with. The comments are interesting as well, it appears that denial of the existence of Jesus has become antitheist dogma. As an atheist, I remain open to evidence and the evidence for a real person as the basis for Christianity seems solid.
Glenn Costello I skimmed it. The most riveting part was the box that may or may not be real. That's definitive proof that Jesus existed...if it's real, and there was only one Jesus alive back then.
To be fair, I believe that a guy named Jesus existed, and I believe he did good things for people. I don't believe that he turned water into wine, walked on water, or was the son of God, but I believe he most likely existed.
So, Minnesota would rather people not be able to advance themselves without the officiating organization paying a fee, first? Do libraries have to pay a fee to lend books? Do documentaries put together by universities have to pay a fee first? If I move into the state and give away old college text books, do I have to pay a fee first? http://www.forbes.com/sites/evapereira/2012/10/19/minnesota-bans-free-online-education/

Did this article read like a bad high school speech to anyone else?
So someone centuries before predicted that something would happen. According to a book written centuries after the fact, it may have.
Well, I'm convinced.
