No, she was required to pronounce the words in front of her correctly. Including the 'g' at the end of the last word of the lyric. She didn't do that. She lost.

This isn't about the original song lyrics. This is about a woman who couldn't take the time to learn how to pronounce words.

However, I don't know what the official WoF rules are regarding speech. Is a person from the northeast who pronounces 'cah" instead of "bar" going to get the same disqualification or do regional and cultural influences count?

The thing that annoyed me is she blamed it on being from Florida. Granted, growing up, I spoke a not of not proper English, but I grew up and I learned proper English (most of the time).

I was raised in Fla, a product of their education system and say swimming with a g. I'm sure she also says hollerin and that a ways.

She got the puzzle correct. That is so mean, and I'm usually a grammar nazi. That's like picking on her for being part of a low income family. I would take this to court if I were her...

It's a game of letters. You have to say the letters. All 8 of them. Someone got money for guessing that letter. It's as important as the other ones. I've seen them say no for using singular instead of plural. ( car, cars)
