This reminds me of another startup idea from the Technology Entrepreneurship class I just took...an app that allows you to buy a friend/colleague a beer if you weren't able to meet out with the group.

My friend works at BarTab. It's an awesome app where your friends can send you drinks through your phone, that you can redeem at participating business (and there are many) for a buck.
