While the article refers to the "Harry Potter" formula, Marvel Cinematic Universe (the #MCU) really is forcing Peter Parker into more of, what I call, a "Peter Pan Syndrome". They're trying to keep him artificially young when #Spider-Man has gone on to great things post high school. He had college years (explored in Spider-Man 2 & 3) then on to graduate school and then in a number of careers in the comic books.
