Why do I prefer Google services over, let's say, Facebook?

Why do I prefer Google services over, let's say, Facebook? Because when Google gets caught they make changes to how they operate. When Facebook gets caught they make changes to their ToS.

According to Google, Android phones will no longer gather and send cell-tower location data back to Google by the end of this month.
