So many things wrong with this story, from the woman who won't acknowledge her son to the strict culture she was raised in that made her pregnancy a taboo so deep she dumped her baby in a dumpster behind a gas station.
But there are food things, too. From the young man who followed the weird noise to the cops who rushed the baby to the hospital. Just earlier today I read an article about "Uncle Tim," a former EMS tech, who advocated across the country for safe places to drop off unwanted children because he was being torn apart from calls where dead or dying infants were involved.

Even though I'm pro-choice, if you have an unwanted child, there are options much safer for everyone than dumping your child in a trash can.
