Is Apple failing to address the needs of their fanbase in an effort to push forth a design-first product? I mean, Apple hasn't released anything truly new or innovative since Steve Jobs died and while the tortoise did indeed beat the hair, in electronics you have to adapt or die a lot more quickly than many other industries.
