I was just up there yesterday. They were setting up the barriers and rest areas for the Hill Climb. Plenty of bikes but no one racing or trying for a timed trial.
While I didn't know Carl personally, many of the people I've ridden with over the years have ridden with him in the Mountain Racing Association.
