Um... I'm an American, I'm not entitled to vote, it's my civic duty to vote. No one can take my right to vote away from me except me ( as if I committed a felony).
The point, of course, isn't semantics. The point is that she goes to the polls and makes what she thinks are reasoned, considered choices. And clearly, her reasoning is, well, faulty...
Jason ON Unfortunately people who commit felonies aren't always caught and also people who did nothing get prosecuted for felonies quite frequently so yeah people can lose their right to vote without doing anything wrong, whilst felons who simply got away with their crimes do get to vote.
Lily Alice Which doesn't make her choices at election time necessarily any worse than yours or mine. If she agrees with you does it make you an idiot or imply that you shouldn't be allowed to vote? Of course it doesn't.
Yeah, but you're looking at the fringes of the bell curve there ColiN DeWilde. For the vast majority of people, in America, have an inalienable right to vote. It's not an entitlement given to us by the government and it's not a right reliant on other factors such as land ownership, clean credit or marriage.
Every American in this country, upon the age of 18, has the inalienable right to vote unless, or until, that right is revoked under very stringent conditions. Such as convicted of a felony.
Probably not. Of course parties have a sarcasm font (facial expression and tone of voice). Here it's either smileys or being psychic since I don't know people well enough to decipher tone of text.
So, Minnesota would rather people not be able to advance themselves without the officiating organization paying a fee, first? Do libraries have to pay a fee to lend books? Do documentaries put together by universities have to pay a fee first? If I move into the state and give away old college text books, do I have to pay a fee first? http://www.forbes.com/sites/evapereira/2012/10/19/minnesota-bans-free-online-education/
