The idea that Japan isn't technologically advanced enough to play #PokemonGO is just weird. Usually, we think of Japan as being far more, well, advanced than the rest of us.

The US, with only twice the population of Japan, spread out over 20x the area (and 20x the cellphone towers) can't handle the load. Getting it to work in Japan is going to be a challenge, given how popular it is. (And I bet roughly a zillion people have already sideloaded it and are playing it: I was playing it before it was officially released.)
