There's a guy I went to high school with who's been in prison since 1993 for driving his friends to buy pot. The "friends" ended up killing the dealer and stealing his stuff. They pled out and served 5ish years while the guy I went to high school will never see freedom because he dared to claim he wasn't a killer.
