Anthrax is an infection caused by the bacterium Bacillus anthracis.The bacterium normally rests in endospore form in the soil, and can survive for decades in this state. No big shock and no zombie bullshit here. Quit being such a drama queen.

Anthrax can survive in soil for decades anyway, so it may be that no defrosted reindeer was involved. But it could happen, and you have to wonder if there are other pathogens waiting to be unleashed.
