This is how companies should be handling Android. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel (I'm looking at you Amazon, Samsung, HTC - hell, all the manufacturers) they should be creating launchers and skins for people to choose to use.

I agree with you.  As an example, I've been more than reasonably impressed with Aviate launcher which was Yahoo's hook into Android.

I've been using Action Launcher 3. Oddly, both my roommate and I downloaded it and she seems to have more features than I do. Weird.
