Colbert Report

So, here I am watching the Colbert Report and I notice two things:

1 - the new HD is brought to us by T-Mobile.
2 - the Olympics segment is brought to us by Budweiser, Dr. Pepper and (ta da) Verizon Wireless.

How in the heck did the Colbert Report get two competing wireless companies to sponsor the same show? Good for them.

Is this one of those faux pas that's going to get some marketing mid-manager fired?
