Sony Sony is trying real hard to create a #Spider-Man universe . They have a Venom solo movie coming out even though the symbiote hasn't been I trounced yet; a Miles Morales (animated) film coming out this winter and strapped plans for the Sinister Six to appear on film. Now, they're looking to other #SpiderMan characters. I still think Toby Maguire was an excellent Peter Parker. He was only hamstrung by the script and direction he received. Not that the first two #SpiderMan installments were bad, they were merely as they were intended to be: campy. While the Andrew Garfield SpiderMan films were decent enough (direction and FX wise) Garfield made a terrible Parker, but then again, I don't think Marc Webb really understood the character. Tom Holland has been a good Peter Parker, and Spider-Man, and yet I couldn't really like the storyline in Homecoming . It's no secret the Marvel Cinematic Universe show runners have tweaked their characters a bit. For example, Captain America is shown as stronger while the Hulk is shown as weaker. Now, if this math is to be believed, they're going to make Spider-Man stronger. #SpiderMan has always been strong, but when he becomes too strong it takes away from the character.
