Ajit Pai is taking credit retroactively for advances in network and capacity that predate, not only him being appointed FCC chairman, but his repeal of #NetNeutrality rules which haven't even taken affect yet. How do you spell "POS"? A.J.I.T.P.A.I. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2018/02/heres-ajit-pais-proof-that-killing-net-neutrality-created-more-broadband/

I often use use highways and interstates as metaphors when explaining bandwidth to non-techy types. This guy in DC had the same idea, except he took it from mental exercise to real world demonstration. The problem is, most people he "slowed" probably weren't aware of what he was protesting. #NetNeutrality https://thenextweb.com/creative/2018/01/29/net-neutrality-activist-throttles-street-outside-fcc-building/

Would you stay with Netflix if Apple bought the service?

Would you stay with Netflix if Apple bought the service? Sure, why not? Unless, you know, Apple raised rates ten-fold as they're apt to do. Or, worse yet, they decide to raise rates for non-Apple device owners and lower rates for Apple device owners. That would be fair under the #NetNeutrality repeal. https://www.mensjournal.com/entertainment/theres-more-than-a-small-chance-apple-will-buy-netflix/

While searching to see if my name was used in vain (it wasn't) I decided to do a generic search and just use my last name. Turns out a few people, people I didn't know, have made comment on the FCC's #NetNeutrality repeal. What's even more shocking is I noticed for each person the FCC gladly shares their home address. If I weren't so lazy I might be inclined to send a few of the more anti-government supporters of the repeal a letter or two letting them know the FCC has shared their information with the world. That should freak them out.

Oh good, it took #DonaldTrump all of about eight minutes after the repeal of #NetNeutrality to start sending our information to his master benefactor over in Russia. [Of course, I'm making this up! I'm not Alex Jones for crying out loud! Besides, it's not like the president knows which pipelines carry "the internet" around the country.] via Cara Evangelista Originally shared by Lynn Keller http://iphone.appleinsider.com/articles/17/12/14/intentional-event-redirects-cloud-traffic-from-apple-google-others-through-russia

The end of #NetNeutrality will change everything about our modern world as ISPs start billing users coming and going.

The end of #NetNeutrality will change everything about our modern world as ISPs start billing users coming and going. On the front end users will be nickeled and dimed everything we want to visit YouTube, Amazon or Wikipedia; and then on the backend ISPs will change those same services a premium access fee as those ISPs will now be gatekeepers to what you're interested in doing online. This won't just hamper end-users, but thousands of SaaS and IaaS companies as well. Ending #NetNeutrality only benefits telecoms and everyone who uses an ISP that supported destroying a free and open internet should change their plans over to other services if applicable. #ZeroTier https://www.cringely.com/2017/11/22/15471/?_utm_source=1-2-2

The #FCC under Ajit Pai isn't interested in anything but advancing telecom's agenda.

Below is Medium post from the Attorney General of New York publicly stating the FCC has rebuffed their requests for information and assistance in proving stories like the below one actually happened. Many organizations use friendly sounding names to fool the public into supporting them. Were you fooled? Originally shared by Ole Olson Corporate America Strikes Back Against Net Neutrality Television Ads have begun to air coast to coast by a corporate front group called "Broadband for America" that inaccurately claims that the Title II regulations that will enshrine #NetNeutrality  are some type of government overreach. This blatant propaganda is clearly designed to try to trick gullible fools with the usual bullshit right wing talking points about how regulations are supposedly bad for consumers. For those who don't know, NN has been in legal limbo for years, and greedy cable corporate villains like Comcast and Charter want to create #SlowLanes  for any company, organization, or person that can't afford to pay them more money for express delivery. That would take away the freedom of consumers to have equal access to any content they want. It is the epitome of corp...
