Not that every day isn't spent with the Dummies, but this day had great light.

Sweet delicious chunky chocolate chip cookies. Yum. Better yet, sweet delicious, moist, Costco chunky chocolate chip cookies. Great for the taste buds and terrible for the waistline. But I couldn't help myself. Costco has a current rebate on their glorious cookies at $1.50 off retail pricing. And I loved them. Every single one of them: with milk, without milk, as the heat of the mid-day Sun melted the chocolate chunks and the cool counter-top air kept them solid. Costco bakery cookies are some of the best manufactured cookies in these United States and I have to force myself not to buy them every time I go into the store. Yeah, self-discipline is a bitch. However, with the discount, even at only $1.50 off their normal price, I caved in and bought a package of 24 large chocolaty bliss -- and had a couple on the drive home. Then another with dinner, and another for an after dinner snack. Then the next morning with milk, for breakfast. And a mid-morning snack. And then I ...

So, I took a random turn today and found this little area without a lot of people and a surprisingly small amount of garbage everywhere. I say that to point out how much garbage I've been seeing everywhere I've been since I arrived here in Florida. It's almost like the locals just don't care about their community and toss garbage everywhere, even going to far as to dumb garbage in empty lots just to be rid of it. Maybe one day I'll take pictures with garbage in the frame instead of trying hard to get pictures without trash and litter's abundance. But I digress. So, this morning I took Rufus with me to the beach to watch the sunrise. Truth be told, I don't think I'm going to take him again as he was more interested in watching the kitty that was running loose than he was in watching the Sun crest the horizon. Anywho, after the sunrise we pulled over at the Indian River Lagoon and walked for a while. Once we were under the Melbourne Causeway I noticed the water moving and soon saw a dolphin (or porpoise, I really don't know. But for the sake of this story I'm going to go with "dolphin.") Since I am like a trained special forces soldier in my reflexes I grabbed my Android and took some video. If you have 5min take a look. If you don't... well, you're not missing much.
