Neighbor Kid and Parental Emulation

I have neighbors. Yes, yes, I understand most of us have neighbors in one form or another, but I have neighbors . Let me explain, About 18 months ago two women moved into the condo complex I live in. They are renters and are renting out a two bed, two bath condo catty-corner from where I live, their front door not 30 feet from my own. Not that it matters, but I will tell you anyway, they are a lesbian couple. They have a child, a two to three year old boy who smiles and laughs as he rides his bike around the sidewalks. Since they moved in my roommate and I have been prisoners in our own home. Not because they stalk or attack us, but because they're always outside (smoking) and they're always loud. Very loud. They don't appear to have any consideration for their nearby neighbors, common decency or any desire to adhere to basic community rules against noise violations. This becomes especially burdensome when one or both of them have been drinking or are partaking in Color...

Toy Run

My motorcycle club went to the annual Children's Hospital Toy Run this year. Normally, everyone would be on a motorcycle, but since the temperatures were in the single digits this morning and the ice and snow hadn't melted from yesterday's snow, being on two wheels was called off by the organizers: Harley-Davidson. Regardless, we met at Village Inn, had breakfast and then most of us went down to the staging area at Aurora Sports Park to wait for the 11 o'clock roll-out. While were were there I walked around with the camera: This truck was loaded with toys in red bags. The Jolly Fat Elf, himself, was strutting around the parked cars and socializing people, shaking hands, giving out hugs and thanking everyone for participating. He even took a minute to get his picture taken with a couple of girls. How cold does it get in the North Pole, anyway? This guy let me take his picture while we were gathered in the lobby of Children's Hospital. I just tho...
