#Hangouts is still a far superior app when compared to #Allo. In order to streamline our efforts further, we will be retiring the Google+ Hangouts API that enables developers to build apps for the older version of Hangouts video calls. This API was originally intended to support social scenarios for consumer users as part of Google+, whereas Hangouts is now turning to focus on enterprise use cases. http://betanews.com/2017/01/07/google-closes-hangouts-api/?_utm_source=1-2-2

Record and share 60 second videos with #Hangouts. Sadly, #iOS only ... for now, one can hope. http://www.nashvillechatterclass.com/google-hangouts-8-0-now-lets-you-record-and-share-60-second-videos/4013/

That seems like an extremely awesome feature. Originally shared by Kickedface A small tip for all Android Users. So who knew this one? #Android   #Hangouts   #HangoutDialer   #Google   http://kickedface.blogspot.com/2015/09/tip-use-nfc-to-transfer-hangouts-calls.html

That's cool. Whatever account I'm logged into Chrome with is the account this app uses, even when not logged into the Google Account (Gmail) at the time. That means I don't have to be logged into Gmail to use the desktop app. This also applies to separate account. If I'm logged in Chrome with one Google Account and logged into Gmail with a different account,  I can still use this Hangouts app  fromthe account I'm logged into Chrome with and have the other account using Hangouts in the web browser.
